I order Grounds for Change Coffee Fair Trade Beans for myself and for my restaurant. Consistently delicious coffee - always! With excellent, prompt and personable customer service, you cannot go wrong! I love that they are a "B" Company as well. Thank you Grounds for Change!
This coffee is amazing!!! So delicious and smooth! My favorite (so far) is the Quetzal and the decaf. The detail and attention that goes into each cup makes it even better knowing how sustainable, conscientious and fair this Coffe is. Will definitely be a lifelong customer after just trying it once!
This company offers top notch coffee. I love that they're a B-corporation. And they are extremely easy to work with on wholesale side of things. Been serving their coffee at our restaurant for several years now and I really have zero complaints. Do not pass them up!
I live in IL and ship from their extensive decaf menu. Can get whole bean or choose from different types of ground. Delicious coffee from a socially conscious organic source. I refuse to drink hot pesticides.
The coffee is very clean and fresh. It even has when it was roasted on the bag which was only 6 days before I receivedit in the mail. I truly enjoyed my coffee this morning. Grounds of Change makes a great product with high standards.
Tasty fair-trade, organic coffee with fast shipping. Being able to enjoy single-origin African beans just days after roasting is a culinary treat. And, really, the best way to enjoy coffee. I ordered Congo Kiva, which made a nice, bright-tasting espresso tinged with berry notes, and a single-origin decaf, which is a rare find among most coffee purveyors (this is not your ordinary decaf). UPDATE: I recently ordered the Congo Muunango Natural mountain-grown beans with a medium roast, which made some fragrant, berry-forward espresso worth daily pulls.
I love ordering from Ground for Change. The quality of the coffee is absolutely amazing and always fresh. I enjoy being able to have it delivered directly to my door in the grind of my choosing. The price point is comparable to buying a premium bag of coffee with the added bonus of being organic and fair trade. My orders have always been fulfilled and delivered quickly. I have never been disappointed with a purchase and will continue to recommend them.
This is the best tasting coffee you’ll ever experience!!! It’s such high quality that you can drink this all day even when you turn it it off and reheat it and it won’t taste like bitter dirt like most coffee’s. I would give this coffee and company more than 5 stars if I could. I’ve been purchasing coffee from this company for more than 15 years.
This is the best coffee I've ever had, and I'm a long time coffee snob. Plus it's a bit cheaper than the famous corporate brand at the grocery store.
Their French roast is just terrific with a subtle kind of sweet aftertaste and really good body.
They don't roast the beans they send out until you place your order, so you know it's fresh and good.
I can't say enough good things about this coffee!
Excellent coffee. I order from Grounds for Change for all my coffee now. The Equinox blend is robust and similar to the Mocha Java, now no longer available.
There are three coffee drinkers in my family & we all love Grounds For Change. We tried many different coffees before settling on GFC, and yes, we are very particular! The coffees make great espresso, & cold brews. We look forward to every new order we receive!
My husband and I have been drinking Grounds for Change coffee for years - we will not drink any other brands...ever. We love what the company stands for and the coffee is like none other. It's always such a joy waiting for our package to arrive, especially when we're expecting one that we've never tried before. It's pure joy...really😊
The company fills your order exactly as you ordered with careful packaging and shipment. They keep in touch with you along the way until shipment arrives. Coffee beans are fresh and makes q quite delicious cup of cappuccino. Well done!
We get our beans for our coffee shop in Zion from Grounds For Change. Of course, we chose them because their beans tasted amazing! Every blend and single origin that we tried, we couldn’t find beans that could beat how rich and flavorful they were. They so incredible to work with. Easy ordering, they always roast the day of the the next day after placing an order. Their company they built does so much good in the coffee world, we love to brag about them to our customers that come in. Couldn’t be happier.
Grounds for change Coffee is simply the most deliciously smooth and wonderfully roasted coffee. Personally, I like my coffee to be "roasted" not burnt. Their Agate Pass blend is my personal favorite. They're also really nice people that treat their customers with excellent, warm and friendly service. Even though their focus is distribution (they don't have a coffee cafe) I'm even more impressed at how they've treated me so far. Find a place to buy their coffee or get on their shipping list. Do both! It's the kind of coffee that you take a sip of, hold it up to your nose to draw in a nice toasty smell and then say to yourself, "wow, now that's coffee with paying for".
Love this coffee. The freshness of it and that it is organic.
This company has won our support by their expert roasting and grinding of the beans, not to mention customer service is very good. I recomend!
I’ve been ordering from Grounds for Change for years. I’ve always had great service, and the coffee is amazing. I won’t buy from anyone else, and I’ve started giving a bag as a gift to my fellow coffee lovers. I love the ethical, sustainable standards of this company. I highly recommend ordering from them.
Grounds for Change has been our go-to coffee choice for years. We feel it's important to support local businesses with environmentally thoughtful practices. Not only is the coffee fantastic, their customer service is stellar! Thank you, Jenny!!
(I am reviewing Grounds for Change Coffee for their coffee product and awesome people who run the online business, as my coffee supply from them, but have yet to visit the cafe.)
TL;DR excellent coffee blends, sustainability/responsibility/ecological leadership, awesome staff on the team. This is the type of business we all should be supporting!

I found Ground for Change while searching for a highly socially responsible coffee roaster invested in both supporting the people of the coffee farming and supply chain, environment, and their own employees as a business. They had to be a B-corp who is consistently improving year-over-year. Last, but not least, they needed to have good medium to dark roasts, since a lot of specialty coffee not has gone super light (in my book).
Grounds for Change checks all of the boxes above, and exceed a lot of what I expected to find in one great coffee roaster. They seem to be leading the way in building a coffee roasting business that betters humanity and consciously taking efforts to learn and improve as they go. It also doesn't hurt that their coffees are excellent.
We primarily purchase their coffee blends for stable, reliable product, while trying out some seasonal blends that they release from time to time. The blends are excellent.
"Dolce Espresso Blend"—an excellent reliable blend that I use regularly for both V60 pour-over and Aeropress—both using stainless steel filters. These techniques yield a sweet, caramel, chocolate cup with enough complexity and good viscous mouthfeel to make interesting cups. In espresso brewing, it yields shots that have similar tasting notes as above, but also evokes what we have found in good cafes in Italy. When friends come over who don't like specialty coffee and want to have an espresso that reminds them of there, they're very happy with espresso made from Dolce Espresso.
"Decaf Midnight"—a good solid dark roasted decaf coffee that stands up very well to having cream/milk added to it. My tasting definitely aligns with the GfC description on their website. I do find that I need to bump up my coffee ratio a bit and extend extraction by grinding finer for V60 and brewing longer for Aeropress to not get that "decaf" hollow taste. With those adjustments, it brews a very nice decaf cup most people I serve it to doesn't notice that it's decaf.
Their "Winter Seasonal" and "20th Anniversary" blends have also been really excellent!
Also, a note on email exchanges with their staff. I'd say probably some of the warmest, and friendly exchanges I've had when buying coffee.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for superb quality coffees run by a team of people building a business that puts humanity up front instead of Wall Street profits.
GFC is my go-to resource for excellent coffee. The website, customer service, beans, shipping and coffee mugs are all top notch. Agate Pass is my favorite blend. Seabrook Blend is also delicious. I've been ordering from GFC for over six years. I'm staying with them.
